Phone / SIP for preparing callers in the radio studio

Prepare callers before they become part of the show.

Phone / SIP connects incoming and outgoing calls with radio studio work. Two call positions, contacts, notes and history help operators follow guests. Private conversation, hold, prepared audio routes and signalling provide a clear process from the first call to bringing someone on air.

Phone / SIP: two call positions in an isolated simulator with fictional calls. This is not a capture of a real SIP connection, audio or MIDI hardware.

SPECIFIC CAPABILITIES

What you can do.

01

Two call positions

The operator sees call status and uses answer, hold, resume, TALK and hang-up. The Call button opens selection of a number or extension, saved account and available line.

02

Contacts and history

Search contacts with multiple numbers, location, tags and notes. History distinguishes incoming, outgoing and test calls, supports search and exports displayed rows to CSV.

03

Preparation before going on air

Separate caller audio sent to the mixer from private communication and the prepared programme route. Audio devices, channels and returns are defined according to the installation's actual studio wiring.

04

Calls stay visible to the operator

A small floating window, desktop alerts and a Playout display help track incoming calls. Colours, flashing, CUE ringing and window position adapt to the studio's needs.

05

Physical buttons and lights

Connect phone buttons and feedback lights through the shared Mixer profile. Triggers can send prepared phone actions, while the service maintains the authoritative state of each current call.

AN EVERYDAY EXAMPLE

How would this work
at your station?

After preparing SIP accounts and studio audio routes, the operator answers a call. They check the guest privately and coordinate the on-air moment with the presenter. During the conversation, they monitor status, use hold if needed and leave a record and note for colleagues afterwards.
