Music and programming / AURA

Music Library for organising your station's music collection

Organise your music once. Use it throughout the system.

Good automated programming starts with a good music database. Music Library brings together the songs, artists, categories, ratings and editorial flags used by Scheduler and Playout. Import prepares new recordings for the catalogue, while Retro Post-processing identifies missing data and processing results. The editor maintains one musical foundation for song selection, transitions and production.

SPECIFIC CAPABILITIES

What you can do.

01

An editable catalogue

Find a song, preview it and edit its title, artist, genre, category, rating or BPM. Batch editing speeds up maintenance of related songs and preparation of music categories.

02

Editorial control of music

Normal, Play only if necessary and Banned statuses separate editorial decisions from ratings. A Reviewed flag records which songs have already been checked by a person.

03

Review before import

Scan a folder and its subfolders, read available tags and interpret filenames. Review and correct the prepared data before saving, then choose a category and destination.

04

Unique library codes

Import copies recordings to the selected library under catalogue codes and registers them. Original files remain available, and the main catalogue becomes the shared foundation for other modules.

05

Complete only what is missing

The Retro view shows durations, full copies, excerpts, stems, vocal cues and other prepared results. Filters help select songs and run only the available steps you need.

06

Preparation for more advanced programming

Available tools can create vocals and instrumentals, vocal cues, short excerpts, web previews and synchronised lyrics. The operator selects processing and checks the result of each step.

BUILT-IN TOOLS AND AREAS

More within the module.

These features belong within this module and support different stages of everyday work.

Catalogue and editorial flags

Search, filters, ratings, categories, tempo, broadcast status and records of reviewed songs.

Folder scanning, metadata preparation, review before saving and copying music under catalogue codes.

Retro Post-processing

Review missing results and selectively process existing songs using available tools.

AN EVERYDAY EXAMPLE

How would this work
at your station?

Review new songs before import, correct titles and artists, then add them to the catalogue. Set categories, ratings and editorial flags. The Retro view then shows which songs still need vocal cues, excerpts or other results required by your workflow.
